On Monday, Alice went in for her first check up with the Orthopod. He was very happy with how she is progressing and she will now only need to wear the braces at night. Yeah! There is one problem that she still has. Her baby toes curl under so if she walked, she would be walking on her toenails. She has a constant sore on the worst toe due to how the shoes rub. Dr Klatt told us that it is due to another tight tendon, like her achilles, and we will need to do another release. It will not not be as intense as her Achilles because the baby toe tendon is useless and the healing isn't as critical as her Achilles.

That is such good news! I am so happy that she is doing so well. She is going to love life without the brace all day.
It's such a relief to know she's going to be ok and they can fix it. She's growing up to be so beautiful, I love her eyes!
