First Movie
Today we took the girls to their very first movie! We have thought they would do well at a movie but there hasn't been anything in theaters that I thought they would enjoy and would be two-year-old appropriate. Finally there was something and we went to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie. Luckily at our theatre kids 2 and under are free so we didn't have to pay for them. They LOVED it! especially Alice who gave me a running commentary throughout and was still talking about it at bedtime. Claire like the popcorn much more than the movie, although she was well behaved the entire time. This was a perfect first movie because it was only 62 minutes and it had a very cute short film at the beginning. I highly recommend it for anyone with kids in the 5 and under set. We tried to get a picture of the girls at the theatre, but they were highly uncooperative.

Independence Weekend
We had an amazing weekend celebrating our country's independence. We started out on Friday with a BBQ at Mike's cousin's house in Oakley followed by the Oakley Rodeo.
This rodeo is the biggest one in Utah and was really fun. It is a professional rodeo so many of the cowboys held world rankings. Let me tell you there is a big difference between a professional rodeo and amateur rodeos. We are thinking it might be a new tradition for us. The girls LOVED it.| The bucking broncos were a favorite |
Claire, Melanie, Alice and Rara watching the fireworks
The fireworks were especially exciting. It was a really late night for two little girls and we decided to pass on any festivities on Saturday night putting the girls to bed very early.
Yesterday, the 4th, we went up to Park City for a parade and BBQ. It was my kind of parade, it didn't start until 11:00.
Some parts were too loud, like the firetruck

One of the coolest floats was the ariels done by some skiers on a trampoline
The girls loved all the horses
After all the partying we dropped the girls off at the Inman's so Marc and I could go see a movie. When the movie was finished we decided to buy a few fireworks for the girls.
We only had one injury all weekend when Alice decided to grab a still hot sparkler, ouch!
We had a full weekend, but a really fun one!
