Words

The girls turned 16 months old this week. To commemorate the events we decided to compile a comprehensive list of all the words they know. They are constantly amazing us with their ever expanding vocabulary. One funny thing about twins is that when one learns a new word the other quickly catches on as well, so they stay on the same level. Even though they say a lot of words, they haven't figured how to string words together, I guess that is to come. The total number of words, as of today, is 76.

A Crazy Weekend

I am so glad I wasn't on call this weekend, otherwise I probably would have lost it. For starters, both kids have been sick. When Alice gets sick, she acts like me. We just deal with it and continue on with life. Claire has her Dad's attitude toward being sick. When Marc is sick you would think he is on his death bed. Both girls have experienced the same bug, but Claire is so much grumpier about it. Claire has been super crabby and wanting to be held all weekend. She also hasn't eaten much, insisting on a diet mostly of milk. On top of all this, it snowed 27" from Friday to Sunday. Our Internet also went down late Friday night and wasn't restored until Sunday evening. This is not too conducive to taking online classes.

Belated Christmas Portraits

I just realized that I haven't posted the girl's Christmas pictures yet. We had them taken just before Christmas and they turned out super cute.

Claire Walking

Claire has actually been fully capable to walking for months now, she just hasn't had initiative. She would walk when it suited her, but it was too slow and difficult to make it her main form of transportation. I haven't known when to say she is walking since crawling is the preferred method, but lately she is getting much better and trying harder, so we are claiming victory. Here is a video we took at Christmas.

2010 already...

To celebrate the new year, the girls spent the holiday with Rara and Papa and even spent the night at their house. It was nice for Marc and I to get to spend some time alone (we went to 2 movies and got a LOT of cleaning done). Apparently the girls had a nice time and didn't torture the Inman's too badly.
