3 1/2

My sister Rachael thinks I am doing irreparable harm to my children for celebrating half birthdays, so Rachael, stop reading. Today the girls turn 3 1/2! To celebrate we headed down to the new downtown mall, the City Creek Center, to check out the new Disney store and the spring flowers at Temple Square. Today was the 25th anniversary of the Disney Store so everything was 25% off. I got them Jesse dolls and Claire wanted a Minnie Mouse and Alice got a Mickey Mouse.
The new mall is awesome! But more importantly, the spring flowers are amazing! I wanted to go down to Temple Square since I knew the flowers would be beautiful in preparation for conference, we weren't disappointed.

We also headed to the zoo for a quick visit.

The best part of all for the girls in enjoying their birthday cake. I made a really simple chocolate cake with a chocolate ganash, which was fabulous!

All day they were so excited telling me about how happy they were about their half birthday. They love to feel special and more than anything they love to blow out candles. We toned it down from last year, but we still had fun.

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess!

Last week was Dr. Suess's birthday and our local children's museum held a party for him. I didn't realize that there was no school that day or I never would have fought the crowds, but the girls had fun. They got a free book and a "cat in the hat" hat. The Cat in the Hat made an appearance but the line was really long to see him and he went on break right before we got to him, so no pictures of that. It was all Lorax themed since that movie just came out. It was very fun.
