It appears that with the guidance of her older sister, Alice has also started sitting. She is still quite wobbly and needs to brace herself up with her arms frequently, but she is doing it! Claire is now a champion sitter (unless she is upset). She can play with toys and even reach for things without toppling. I also posted a picture of Claire smiling. I have gotten several comments about Alice being such a smiley baby and Claire is serious. It is actually just the opposite. The difference is that Alice will smile for the camera, but the second I pull the camera out Claire becomes stoic. Oh well. And in case anyone is wondering, yes that is our bed. We sleep on the fold out couch in our living room. The only bedroom besides the girls room in our house is down stairs very far away. We began this sleeping arrangement thinking it would be a few months (until the girls slept through the night). But since at least one girl gets up at some point during the night, we are too lazy to make the trek from the basement to the girls room. It is also nice to plop them in bed with us if they are acting crazy. At least it's comfortable.
