I love our generator!
We got a notice a few days ago that our power would be interrupted from 9:00am to 5:00pm today and on Wednesday. As expected the power went out at 9:00. Around 6:00pm the power tried to sputter back on, but never made it. They are replacing all of the power poles and apparently are having trouble. It is now 11:00pm and no power. My grandparents had a high capacity natural gas generator installed a few years ago and we LOVE it. While everyone else is cold and in the dark with the food in their fridges going bad, we are warm and comfortable watching TV. The power service is so sketchy that a generator like ours in necessary. Yeah for modern technology!

That is great that you are OK. Your poor neighbors!
I just saw on the news that the power is STILL out up there! WOW! Maybe you can invite some neighbors up for some heat and real food, in exchange for babysitting services later. :)
