Today we went to the girls 3 year "well child visit." According to the doctor they are doing awesome! Claire has grown a lot taller and jumped from the 14th percentile for height to the 33rd. She has also slimmed down a bit from the 47th percentile for weight to the 23rd, but we don't care as much about that. Alice is also growing as she jumped from the 1st percentile in height to the 14th! Major improvements by both girls! Alice stilled remains my skinny-minny in the 4th percentile for weight. The doctor was very encouraging about the way we feed our kids. Sometimes I like to have qualified professionals tell me I'm doing a good job. They are also on track or ahead for physical and cognitive development.
This was their first appointment that they were treated like big girls and stood on a scale and sat in a chair to have their vitals taken. Happily, they were given the flu-mist this year instead of a shot. They will also start flouride supplements since we don't have any in our canyon water. They think the supplements are delicious, so whatever.
My girls love going to the doctor and our doctor was quite flattered that they play "Doctor Rachel" by taking turns examining each other.
A fun aside, as we were leaving I ran into a friend from my neighborhood growing up, Marina Nobel, who is a drug rep at that clinic.
