For her PhD program Marc's sister Melanie is required to go to "residencies" or conferences at different places around the country. Her third and final residency was at the Disneyland Hyatt. She asked if we wanted to come so Ryan could go. We couldn't pass up the opportunity, so we drove down with her and spent 2 days at Disney. Doing Disney with toddlers is a totally different experience. We had to go back to the hotel for a nap during the day and couldn't stay very late, so we didn't do nearly as much as usual. Ryan was so patient and helpful with them and he didn't even mind riding all the kiddy rides. The girl's favorite things were Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, the teacups, Winnie the Pooh, and the carousel. The hated Pinocchio and Claire told us for hours after how scary it was. Our time was way too short, but we had a lot of fun. The last night after the girls were asleep and Melanie was done with classes and working on homework, Marc and I got a few hours to ourselves at the park. We rode my favorites, Space Mountain, the Matterhorn and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The wait for Haunted Mansion was really short so we did that. If it hadn't of broken down we would have done Indiana Jones, but alas, we were on Haunted Mansion until the park closed. On the way out of town we even stopped at the beach for a couple of hours. It was a whirlwind trip.
