Today we celebrated Claire and Alice's 1st birthday. Their birthday isn't until the 28th, but my sister Rachael is in town with her kids. Rachael's son Aaron also has a birthday soon (the 23rd), so we celebrated a triple birthday. It was fun to have a little BBQ for friends and family at our house. The weather was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed catching up. My parents unfortunately could not make it, they were out on a special elk hunt and didn't want to waste the tags. My mom did call me during the party to let me know they had got one but were still trying to get a second elk. Rachael and Janell made ice cream cakes and they were a hit! Rachael also whipped up some homemade cupcakes at the last minute for the birthday kids and younger children. They were so good that a few adults sampled them as well so there were none left by the end. Such a domestic diva!
