5 1/2

This last week we celebrated the girl's Half Birthday! What this really entails is telling them it is their half birthday, giving them a few presents (things I have been wanting to give them for the past 2 months but hold off) and doing a couple of fun things. It is easy, stress free, and they LOVE it! We started off the day at the gymnastics free play Friday. The place they take gymnastics opens up the area for kids to free play, for free, so it is busy and we usually see a lot of friends there. The girls had a great time telling everyone that it was their half birthday. Next we went to lunch at Big Bad Breakfast, one of our favorite Oxford restaurants. The girls informed the hostess it was their half birthday and they we so cute a brought the girls birthday pancakes. I thought it would have been funny to cut them in half, but who is going to turn down free food?

After lunch we headed over to Pirate Adventure, a bounce house place just our of Oxford that they always have fun at.

We ended the day with cupcakes that the girls helped me make. Claire wanted vanilla frosting and Alice wanted peanut butter. These kids are so different it kills me :). We had a lot of fun and the girls felt very special.

Ha! Your half birthdays are better than our real ones. Sounds like a fun day!
